Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Traverse- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Chevy Traverse. Now you may be wondering, "Where is the hitch located I don't see anything." And that's the great part about the Traverse is from the factory, there's an access panel that's gonna cover up the hitch until you're ready to use it. You'll just simply twist those knobs. We'll get this to pop out, and now we have full access to our hitch. And that's kind of the great part about this one is it does, it is extremely hidden the entire time until you need to use it. Now that does require pulling the fascia off to get this installed, but overall, you're gonna get one of the cleanest looks out there with a nice OEM look when not using it. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the best trailer hitch options on a 2024 Chevy Traverse. Now all of these are gonna be very, very similar and require the fascia to be removed to get them installed. Now there are very small differences between all the hitches and I'm gonna point those out to you so you can kind of make a better buying decision. So first out the gate, you're gonna see that the Etrailer one has a matte black powder coat finish. Generally this holds up to scratches and chips long term, a little bit better than some of the gloss that you'll see and it's a better look, but honestly, this vehicle has an access panel that you can put in place when you're not using your hitch. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2023 GMC Acadia- Video

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 GMC Acadia, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 two-inch hitch receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Acadia is gonna allow you to haul bike racks, cargo carriers. And if you wanna put a small step back here to be able to get onto your roof, you can do that, too. And when paired with wiring, either four-pole or seven-pole, our Acadia was prepped for both of those, so you can get the appropriate kit, get it plugged in. It's really, really easy to do, especially if you go through this installation process for this hitch. more

Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2023 Ford F-150- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Class 5 Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch on a 2023 Ford F-150. Now, if you don't have a hitch on your F-150 or you want to get a little bit more capacity out of the existing hitch you have, installing this is gonna do it. This is a class five, meaning it's super heavy duty. Now, being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening means that you're gonna have tons of options when it comes to bike racks, cargo carriers, or in this case, a ball mount, because this is really a heavy duty towing hitch. You can load up all your accessories all the same with a 5/8 pin clip, which is not included with the hitch, but a lot of times your accessories will come with one, and so this is gonna keep all of those in place. Now if you plan on having accessories loaded up and keeping them on the back of your truck, you might wanna look at a locking pin and clip. more

Now all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a five eighths pin and clip, now this does not come with the hitch, a lotta times when you pick up accessories, though, they'll have a pin and clip included. If you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle, whether it be a bike rack or cargo carrier, I recommend picking up a locking version, which we have here available ETrailer. And that way you can leave your accessories on, locked in place, and know that no one's gonna walk away with them. more

So you get a nice clean OEM look with all the functionality of having a trailer hitch. Now, this one is an 1 1/4-inch receiver tube opening, so this is a little bit smaller than the standard two inch, so you might be a little bit limited when it comes to ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks. But if you already have those accessories, this is gonna be a great option. Now, CURT, as well as a few other manufacturers, offer a two-inch version of pretty much the same hitch that I would maybe prefer if this is your first hitch and you don't have any accessories. more

You can use it to haul bike racks, which is what the owner of ours is doing, a small cargo carrier if you need to get some of that luggage out of the back of your car to make more room inside for more weather sensitive items, put 'em on a cargo carrier so you can go on your trip. Or if paired with trailer wiring for your Nissan Sentra, you can pull small trailers with it. The receiver tube opening will be an 1-1/4 wide by an 1-1/4 tall. more

So putting a trailer hitch on a vehicle like the Subaru makes a lot of sense and it's going to help really open up your opportunities on what you're gonna be able to do, whether that's doing some towing, using accessories or a little bit of both. With this particular hitch, in my opinion, it's a good all-around general purpose hitch and I think it looks good, as well. Compared to some of the other ones available, 'cause there's quite a few, they're all gonna be pretty similar in terms of their capabilities, right, and can pretty much do whatever it is you're looking to do with any of those, but really the main difference is going to be how they're gonna look on the back of your vehicle. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2020 Subaru Outback wagon and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding the two inch hitch receiver to the back of your Outback is gonna give you a lot of options to haul accessories, whether it be a bike rack or a cargo carrier. Maybe you wanna pull a small trailer. Now if you decide to use this to pull a trailer, you're also gonna wanna look into getting some four pole wiring, which is really nice on the Outback, it's all prepped so you, all you have to do is just plug the wiring harness in and you're ready to use it. Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2018 Ford Taurus and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the etrailer class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding a hitch receiver to the back of your Ford Taurus is gonna give you a couple different options to haul accessories. You can use it for a bike rack, which is the most common use for it. You can use it for a cargo carrier, although the hitch receiver is kind of low to be able to use it with a cargo carrier, you might be able to get away with a high low adapter to get it up there a little bit higher. Then the lastly, you can use it to tow lighter trailers. more
